Hello everyone! (...us again!) Three weeks have flown by since last writing, spent travelling Vietnam with our first (...and no one can take that away from her) WT visitor. See cover photo for the Vietnam trio - what a 'motley crew' we make! Against the odds of a poor rain to sunshine ratio and some bouts of 'Sickly Parsons' behaviour, we have had a fab time and Elly thank goodness has gone home browner than she arrived! (...just) We made our way up the entire coastline, ducking inland a few times for a dose of mountain scenery. All very beautiful and we got everything from gorgeous beaches, minority village life, stunning old towns and a taste of 'everyday life' Vietnam style (very random!...see photos). Food has been fantastic especially the 'local specialities'. We have become 'great fans' of iced white coffee! ( with condensed milk...sounds foul we know). A highlight for all of us was the 'Easy riders' day, being cruised around the Dalat countryside on the back of old motorbikes, driven by local dudes. Our grand finale was a planned 3 day trip to Halong bay, but a typhoon hit the area of which 'we've never seen the like' so we had to settle for 1 day instead. It was 'only a boat after all'. At least we made it eventually - absolutely stunning. Hope you are all well. Thanks for all the messages and mails...keep them coming.
