Hello all We moved from Xi'an to Chengdu in a soft sleeper train no less! Our new friends (Matt and Ellie) are really posh!....well actually, tickets were a nightmare to get hold of. This is of course the homeland of the Giant Panda and Andy was VERY excited about this fact...for those who don't know, his first ever teddy was a Panda bear (ahhh!). The four of us went on a trip to the breeding and research centre for the morning and it was incredible...could have stayed all day and we couldn't stop taking photos. The older ones lolled about amusingly and the young ones played around, stumbling their way across their playground. It was addictive watching. And then came the highlight of Andy's WT so far...the chance to cuddle a real live Giant Panda. Cheng-zi was a young lad (8 months old) but was anything but small! Look out for the photos...the grin on Andy's face is brilliant!! And then it was goodbye time for Matt and Ellie, who headed for the Yangtze whilst we went off to Juizhaigou, a beautiful, mountainous area renowned for it's turquoise lakes and waterfalls. We spent 3 fantastic days walking around the national park and staying in a typical Tibetan style village. Stunning. Love to all A&J xx
