Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well. We had a great time with Dan and Mel in Argentina and Uruguay (and a few steps in Brazil!). It was lovely to catch up on things from home and particularly to see the wedding photos at long last. We met up in Buenos Aires and headed straight for a steak restaurant, where Dan and I started our diet of steak for the next two weeks!! The first full day was Mel's birthday and we had a fab day exploring the city, followed by a very large night out exploring the bars!! All very funny and we made it home by 6am! As you can imagine, the next day was very gentle. Overall we loved Buenos Aires, a fascinating and lively city. We particularly enjoyed the Tango and music. A big thank you to Gran and Gramps who treated us to a night out at a Tango Show - superb. From there to Iguazu Falls and we were all wowed by the sheer size and power. We had a great two days exploring and Dan and Mel coped very well in a backpacker hostel, although they did seem extra happy when we got back to 4 star! Next stop, Montevideo, Uruguay where we spent one night and enjoyed a quick explore of the city. The hightlight had to be the steak 'market' where there were countless 'bars' cooking fab meat. Dan and I tucked in!! Our final destination was Punta Del Este for some relaxation and fun by the sea. It was low season, but the weather was warm and sunny and we basically had the place to ourselves - private pool, games room etc! We did lots of chilling out, playing cards and sitting by the pool. Dan and I also enjoyed a fantastic game of golf - the photos show the winner - I would hate to rub it in too much!! Sad to say goodbye to them but not too long until we are home now.
