Staying at lake Tahoe, plenty of hiking and waters sports available if you are keen, we took a drive up the hills via Carson City to the gold mining town of Virginia City. Took and guided train ride of the original tracks and took in some of the history.

Stayed at bishop overnight and drove to Yosemite National Park today. Drove to the village at the bottom of Yosemite while taking in the amazing vistas. Then drove to lake tahoe for two nights.

Pretty uneventful day today driving from Vegas to bishop. We did pass through a small town and took a photo of this amusing sign.

Another day in San Diego, down to the port to do a tour on the aircraft carrier, the USS Midway. Took Lots of photos of the planes and weapons, they were what I have read about in Dale Brown and Tom Clancy books. Went in a flight sim with Matthew, note to self- Don't let Matthew be the pilot. We spent most of the ride up side down!

In San Diego for a few days, going to Sea World today. Had lots of fun at Sea World, sat near the front for the Shamu Whale show and got completely soaked by the whales, Matthew loved it. Enjoyed the seal and otter show too.
