It's like after driving through almost a 100 km of rough, narrow, dark roads full of pot holes, blind turns, irritating traffic and over zealous authorities and you suddenly hit the expressway. Swati and I are going through the same feeling the difference being the km = days, drive =work and similarities being roads = challenge and the same over zealous authorities. And off course expressway = VACATION!

As I wait at Mumbai international airport for our early morning flight to Zagreb via Dubai I cannot help but think back at the breakneck speed our work life was, right till a few hours back.

It all started couple of months back when, wanting to take a few hours break from work, I casually browsed the net to check for new and exciting vacation spots. It's much like a women window shopping. And the next thing I know I had booked cheap air tickets to Zagreb, much like a women window shopping.

Wiser from last summer's Europe trip we are traveling lighter this time. Waiting at the airport, sipping beer, half asleep and dead tired we cannot wait to reach our final destination, Zagreb which is a good 12 hours away including the layover at Dubai.

P.S. Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, which even I had to Google to search for the flight.
