We met the Oz Experience group at Nomads in Melbourne and sadly said goodbye to Melbourne! The group seem really lovely and after a brief 'wake me up coffee' we head off towards Wilson's Promontory. We got the chance to see our first wild Australian animals, lots of Kangaroos, such strange creatures, and emus'!! We also got to see the iconic sign of 'wildlife ahead'!! After a walk along to squeaky beach and lunch on the beach we head out of the park towards our accommodation at Lakes Entrance.
The following day we set off into the Snowy mountains, it was still snowing there which they mentioned was unusual as ski season is over. We were to stay in Thredbo it was pretty quiet as its the in between season between the ski season and summer activity, but we got the chance to have a walk about in the snow, not something I ever imagined I would be doing in Australia, but it was such good fun! After an evening in their German bar we awoke and head towards our destination of Sydney, via the 'Giant Marino' sheep that will, apparently, change our lives :) HELLO SYDNEY!
