Well hello again from the big KL!
I did start writing this 10 mins ago but then deleted it all by accident. Well since my last blog went for some grub down the road last nigt at some side street open cafe where we got some chicken in stock Claws n all and some pork dish. Whilst sitting on the street and admiring the view i mistakingly got my camera out and decided to take some pics of the street and a couple of mins later this guys comes over and gives me what for. I thought he was aksing if i wanted a taxi cos he was pointing to a car so didnt help the situation by telling him no, but turns out he was pissed at me for taking a picture of him even though it was of the street, turns out after a bit of research your only advised to take pics of people over here after asking there perission. OOPS. Anyway lesson learnt and we headed to beatles bar, which was suprisingtly lacking in any beatles music and was playng a range of stuff but mainly trancy pop. It was nice decor in there very morroccon themed but freezing with the air con. I imagine when it busy its a good night.
Anyway kicking and screaming i managed to drag Rob to reggae reggae bar mon, it has to be said in a jamaican accent you see. Its was good we avoided any gyrating action with the rest of em and sat outside and chilled with a large jug of rum and coke.
Today we have been round the houses. We walked around the Isamic musuem and the butterfly garden (again i have awesome pics but cant get em on) and then walked to find this other place some sculpture park but the signs were walking us in circles so dying of hunger made our way back. I am a walking wizzard! Me feet are bloody killing. We then found somewhere to eat but didnt know what anyting was so got some spicy rice dish whilst i was getting mucky looks from all the men i pressume for not being well covered (i had a vest top and long shorts thats covered for me) anyway after that came back slept as still feel a little strange from the flight and have just had a walk to the indian market which happens every Saturday. Like most of the markets around here you can get fake everything and cheap food. We ate for 50p each but were not that impressed, the food has suprsingly been dissapointing thus far.
As much as KL s a lovely lively city i think 4 days might have been over judged and with hindsight we would not have stayed here longer than 2 or 3 days. Anyway we have booked to go to Melakka for a couple of days and then coming back here for our flight to melbourne on the 25th. Its our last night in KL tom apart from the night before the flight and we plan on visiting the caves tom which should be an escape from the hustle and bustle here so wil let you know but all is well.
Thanks for the messages.
Peace out
Rachio
