Another public bus for three and a half hours to Phnom Penh, with a two hour stop-off in town before heading back on it. We looked around the huge malls and found that Asian clothes are most definitely not made for six foot girls - found this out whilst trying on some shorts behind a makeshift curtain in the middle of the market! Another early start at 5.45am, some people were hungover but I think my Springbok saved me from that. Not up until 9.30am today - bliss! Dropped off some washing then went to a coffee shop, inside a well-lit petrol station, for a raisin pastry and iced tea. Met the group at noon to head over to the silk farm, where we learnt all about the silk worms and their lives of sleeping, reproducing, and dying in their yellow cases. The 4am alarm came around far too quickly this morning! We had to have our pictures taken for the temple passes - those pictures were not exactly stunning as we all struggled with a severe lack of sleep. We got to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise, but even at 5am it was so hot already - that combined with the ants was a bit distracting as we all aimed for the best photos.
