We Woke up early and Went for breakfast at cafe Hoc which all proceeds go to orphanages in Cambodia! It was such a lovely place with a really good vibe! It was a buffet breakfast with really good sour dough bread! Was really delicious, I had a really good omelette too!
I don’t know how but we managed to get lost on the way back to the hostel, we were only 5 minutes away! We finally found the hostel but we were 15 minutes late for the day tour! Woops! Luckily they waited! We had our tour by tuk tuk and there was a good group of us!
We first Went to temples, which were really small local ones, it was lovely to see that they were so well kept! We then went to the local Fishing village. This was a lovely place to see a local village and how the kids play in the rivers!
We then visited the Killing caves, this was ever so interesting but awful! There was a really tall area, where they used to just chuck the bodies down into the cave during the Khmer rouge!
We also went and experienced the only train line in Cambodia! This was called the bamboo train! It was crazy! It was a plank of bamboo wood that you sit on, with no walls or roofing. They used to use this to transfer stock from villages! The track wasn’t finished when we used it, so they took us for about 10 minutes then we had to get off, walk around the unfinished part and then they would set up the train and motor on the following track! So bazar!
Lately we went to the famous t Bat caves. At a certain time each day millions and millions of bats come out of the cave. We got a perfect spot in a cafe which had a rooftop view! When the time struck, there was a stream of bats for a good 20 minutes, with no gaps! They came out and went straight down the streets! Was such a crazy thing to see! I also learnt that when bars leave caves they always turn left!
We then Came back and went for diner locally which was really delicious! Then Sat upstairs planning Bali for the rest of the evening!
We then left early the next day for Siem Reap!
