LOST IN TRANSLATION--Things that tickled our funny bones!
Menu translations--there were so many good ones.
We were SO NOT tempted by the "Boiled Pimple" or "Meat Fried Rotten Son"! Check out photo album "Lost In Translation" for pictures!
Brenda Lewis People watching, that is fun. And your details of your adventure in the square. Enjoyed the details of your food experience too. All that walking. Enjoy that bed!
re: Saturday in BeijingBrenda Lewis The pearls sound wonderful. I hope you went back and got some for yourself. A beer and peanuts...chips and a coke zero...sounds good to me. Crowds and noise...that hour at the great wall of china must have been heavenly when you arrived before the crowds...good going Joe!
re: Busy, Busy Busy BeijingBrenda Lewis Beijing....I wonder almost every time I read your blog. How does she know how to spell everything? And I wonder...what would happen if I didn't add up the number right at the end of my comment...LOL I haven't taken time to read why we have to add those numbers...but it makes me giggle everytime I do it. Your room did sound tiny and do you lose much weight with all that walking. I'm impresssed...I loved your picture of the two of you by the beautiful flowering tree. Stay safe and how about coming home soon...LOL
re: FORBIDDEN!Brenda Lewis The forbidden City....I liked the way you got the bad stuff out of the way first and then ended the blog with the good information. I love the way you go into detail about the dinners, lunches etc. I like reading about that too. So the crowds would have freaked me out Di. I am glad you saw what you came to see and I am also glad your not there any more....That beer you drink should be killing some of those germs...LOL I love you both...Brenda
re: The Forbidden City.............Brenda Lewis Oh my goodness, the Great Wall of China. I loved hearing about your experience and your dinner of duck, strawberries and peas. Might I mention I really enjoyed that one picture of you and David. He has his hat on backwards and your peeking around his shoulder..priceless. I like the one of you at the great wall too. Joe is wonderful and the tee shirt experience. Interesting about the palace too Di....
re: The GREAT Great WallBrenda Lewis LOL, I am laughing about your motto...yes, if its worth doing, its worth overdoing...that is your motto and it makes me smile. No wonder your a little cranky...4 weeks is a long time and you barely rest. Walk and explore every day. I couldn't keep up with you two for a day! Mexican food...I like that.
re: Thursday in Beijing 4/25/2013Brenda Lewis Ahh I'm sorry to hear that David has a stomach bug...but by now he should be better...On your recent site you said you were catching a cold Diana...Guess its time to come home. You have been away a long time. Do you ever get homesick Di? You never mention that once. I bet you don't!
re: A Do-Nothing Day in BeijingBrenda Lewis Hello Di...please let me apologize first for taking so long to get back to your blog. Went to Tioga last weekend and well....just not enough time in the day for this girl. Tomorrow, I see you leave China to come home. Safe travels dear Di and David...
