After the big bang last night we didn't really sleep much more. An hour before we dock the on board alarm call of tinkling Celtic music starts to filter through the speakers, building in volume and tempo.
Our helper arrives and takes us to the car deck and soon after 07:15 we are out into a dark morning, clearing border control and drivin…

re: The Last LegRog. Etang de Berre ! takes me back to 1965 and my first trip to sea; used to discharge at Port du Bouc for the BP refinery at Lavera. In later years on the VLCC's we discharged at Fos sur Mer on the very edge of the Camargue. Hope your back's OK now Nick.
