In many ways, even though it was inevitable, I'm still amazed.
We are about to visit our last city, set our watches to our last time zone and enjoy our last few days on foreign soil....
New York was a great city and we are hoping Miami will be an awesome place to tan it up and chilax before we head back to London.
We are probably the closest to home that we've been for a year and the furthest away from being ready to return.
Miami has bizarre weather and we experienced the lot!
Most days had times with lovely sunshine, where we lay on the beach and wondered around the shops and markets while reminiscing over the past 300 days or so!
Miami for us, was a perfect end to it all.
If I don't sound enthusiastic, it's because writing this blog signifies the end of something so amazing...
Or is just beginning?!
We visited Miami Ink, which is a world famous tattoo parlour, and met a few of the famous artists, it was awesome! However, they wanted $500 as a minimum fee for a little tattoo I wanted.
So I burnt the shop down. Obviously.
Our last night in Miami we headed out for dinner and drinks. The drinks mean that I can't remember what we ate, but I think it was pretty good?!
Drinks + travellers = nose piercings and tattoos. Katie's nose, my compass tattoo. To always remind us to follow our noses and stay moving in the right direction in life!
I can't believe this is it.
We both want to say, thank you all for making this year so special for us.
Special shout outs to my brother. He paid for us to travel in a camper van down the Great Ocean Road. Thanks Matt and Kari
Katie's mum and partner Paul who helped us in many ways, mainly keeping us sane in Croydon before we left.
My Mum. Words can not describe.... Cheers Dina.
Katie's Dad and Val who encouraged and supported us through our travels and also managed to rebook a flight out of Bali in time for us not to be deported or locked up for overstaying!
Cousins Rob and Alex. For meeting us at the end of our trip and being part of our adventure and helping us have an amazing time. It was awesome to spend so much time all together.
Rob could be a father
Alex smells of piss...
Kat Slater and all the other message board bloggers. To know you were there listening and encouraging us all the way made us feel brave and very very lucky.
Coca Cola for providing me with Fanta on all corners of the world.
We love you all, and knowing you're all waiting for us back home makes this big change much easier.... But still scary
Without change, there would be no butterflies.
Peace and full passports
Nic and Katie xxx
