I do know what Jools is talking about my new beige carpet is the most excieting thing that has happened this year. The smell of new carpet when you go into the flat is so romantic inspiring.
No really glad you are both having a fantastic time. Obviously hight of winter and all here you are not missing out on much. Glad you have a website so I can keep up with all of your travels and wish I was there!

Hey guys,
We have definately put Mendoza on our agenda now after reading about your update. We lashed out for New Year by forgetting the backpack and lived it up for 4 days in a five star hotel on a beach in Chile.
But back to the reality of travelling again. We are now going overland from chile up to quito in ecuador ' arhhh!! I tried my best to book a chilean bus all the way through to no avail! So it looks like we are stuck with Peruvian buses again.
After getting off an overnight bus and arriving in Lima this afternoon we decided not to brave another overnighter right away and are staying overnight in Miraflores. Nice to have a shower and feel human again.
Well must be off, keep us updated with all your travel stories and good luck with the tour!

My god man, do you suddenly think you are one of the royal family, 'One has been on rather enjoying the ambassadorial trip of central america.....' Next you'll be sending xmas cards with pictures of the two of you on the front giving us all an annual update!!!!
Think I might set up one myself, have digi photos taken of my new bedspreead and sheet with valance, yes you did read that really exciting news correctly!!! The trip from Hanwell to Ealing today was especially picturesque, theres nothing quite like a grey sky with drizzle to bring out the green of the trees as I am sure you can remember. And NYE well, working in a bar is exactly what I wanted to do and exactly what I'm doing, f*** me aren't I a lucky girl.
But seriously it's all true, ha ha and I'm still happy, simple things and all that. Best mate is due a baby early new year, 4 weddings and 3 christenings next year, becoming quite an old hand at them after 6 weddings this year. the big Prague trip for 13 of us mid Jan. so its all really very cool and I do love my bed linen!!
