We stayed in Paraty for 3 nights at Che Lagarto Hostel which was one of the better Che Legato's that we have stayed at. The first night we had arranged to catch up with Wilma and Gan a couple from Holland on their 40th wedding anniversary who we had met on Ilha do Mel. It was time to head back to the coast to Ilha do Mel so we caught a night bus out of Iguazu and headed for Curitiba which was 9hours and it was about $60USD. Curitiba was just a quick stopover for us as we were getting the train out of there at 8.15am. This train is a tourist train which travels through the lush green forests to Morrestes from here we had to catch another bus to Paranagua which from here we had to catch a boat to Ilha do Mel.

We arrived early morning after a really bad bus trip as both of us did not sleep much at all. After 2 nights we sadly left El Uru and headed to Chuy the border town for Uruguay and Brazil. It has a main road and apparently one side is Brazil and the other is Uruguay. It was only a hour bus to there and then we had to look around for a ticket to Florianopolis, Brazil.
