Almost exactly a year to the day that I started this blog...I have decided to try and document my IDC and IE journey. (Padi open water instructor training). I have had the most incredible time during my Divemaster training and working for the last few months on Koh Tao - let's hope my nerve holds up for crunch time!! Apparently the course will be quite intense, lots of classroom work (physics ...ergh!), more first aid training, pool work and obviously learning...

A busy week for me...I have moved house which involved an emotional goodbye to Killer the cat, however I have a fantastic view at my new place which more than makes up for the lack of pets! The dive school is also very busy at the moment with an influx of backpackers who have been living it up at the full moon party in Koh Paghnan. Loving island life! I've posted some pics to give you an idea...but in a nutshell; I've met lots of French, acquired a cat, learnt to navigate underwater, spent a small fortune at the dive shop and celebrated a fellow DMTs birthday by diving as Wonder Woman. A busy few months! I'm nearly at 100 dives now and I still surface buzzing every time - best decision I have ever made to dive every day. More to follow... Kate x

A teenie tiny post to tell you that I have had a great day! My very own scuba equipment arrived and we played spot the music intro at the bar tonight - a happy girl :) Got some really good friends here now and feeling very settled. I also assisted on my first open water course today, 3 girls from England, an Italian and a French guy. This post is coming to you from Bangkok where I am approximatey a quarter of the way through the mammonth Visa run to Laos. I travelled through the night last night and then a 7 hour minibus journey today. I'm a bit stinky already and neck is mega stiff. Managed to get in a Maccy Ds and some shopping on Koh San Road today though and I'm now waiting for the next leg which is on a double decker VIP bus (apparently) from Bangkok up to Laos, we leave in 3 hours an...
