Left home at 3.30pm for our first night.

NIGHT 1, 22.01.14.
Avalon Raceway.
Loz, Woz & Cul, great night of racing. A Main winners 1st Robbie Farr AU, 2nd Tim Kaeding US, 3rd Kyle Hirst US.
Great night of racing, home by 12pm.

DAY 2, 23.01.14.
Just Woz & Cul on this leg of the week.
Up and about 7.30am, packed caravan, on the road 8.45am, heading for Warrnambool Surfside 1, to drop the van off, arrived 11am, set van up a quick look at the beach, on the road heading for night 2 of Sprintcars at Borderline Speedway, Mount Gambier.
Arrived at the track 1.30pm SA time, found a good spot against the fence to set up our chairs.
Found our prebook motel, Avalon Motel, checked in, old but clean.
We need sunscreen, very hot here…
NIGHT 2. 23.01.14.
At Borderline Speedway, 6pm track smallish compared to Avalon but very quick all the way round, just under 11sec per lap…nice.
Another great night of racing.
A Main winners, 1st Steven Lines AU, 2nd Tim Kaeding US, 3rd Cameron Gessner AU. Checked out the pits. Back at the motel 12.30am SA time, scotch is nice…

DAY 3, 24.01.14.
Heading back to Warrnambool via Nelson & Portland, good drive. Back at the van 2pm, lunch and relax b4 heading off tonight 1 of 3 of The Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Premier Speedway, the first 3 nighter.
NIGHT 3. 24.01.14.
Fantastic night of racing.
1st James McFadden AU, 2nd Donny Schatz US, 3rd Trevor Green AU.
Went to the pits to watch the presentation and checked out the cars.
Backed at the van for a beer and bed, 1am, cheers…

DAY 4, 25.01.14.
Fan appreciation today, we acquired another model Sprintcar, this time it's Robbie Farr Q7, it will accompany Gary Rush A1 & Max Dumpsey V5, back at home. Stickers, stubbie holders & posters, a fun morning. Relaxing till we leave for night 2 of the classic.
NIGHT 4. 25.01.14.
Great night of racing.
1st Jamie Veal AU, 2nd Jason Myers US, 3rd Max Dumpsey AU.

DAY 5, 26.01.14.
Up and about 7am, taking Cul home so he can celebrate Australia Day with his mates, picked up Loz and returned for the 3rd night of the classic, it's set for a great night of racing with all the big hitters up the front on points.
NIGHT 5. 26.01.14.
Last great night of racing.
1st Tim Kaeding US, 2nd Max Dumpsey AU. 3rd Jamie Veal AU.
Tim Kaedimg done the most amazing donuts all over the Lucas Oil logo on the infield then some more on the back straight and finally on the front straight where he put his car on its side, then got out and ran around punching the air, sweet victory, he and his team won $32000 in price money.
Home at the van by 1.15am, all in all we had a ball, until next time, cheers…
