Day 16 - St Louis, Missouri to Bloomington, Illinois. The sun was shining again this morning for the final stages of our West to East exploration of Route 66. Day 15 St. Louis. Well we are into our third week of travel! A rest day from travelling Route 66 today. A big change in the weather here, all the TV weather forecasters are amping it up that it's the first big cold snap to hit the US this fall. Day 14 - Lebanon to St Louis, Missouri. After checking out the famous Munger Moss Motel in Lebanon we headed East on the I-44 towards the city of St Louis, following Route 66 through hills and trees just starting to drop their leaves. Searched out these old log cabins built in the 1930's "John's Modern Cabins" on a dead end section of 66 (Arlington Rd) cut off by the interstate.
