September 10 - Today we left Daly Waters and drove to Mataranka. We got up and left Daly Waters and headed towards Mataranka. We saw hundreds of termite mounds and burn offs on the side of the roads. When we arrived at Mataranka we when to the shops for bread and a walk around on the grass. We had lunch and got ready for the hot springs. On the way down to the springs a nice couple stopped and gave us a blow-up red lobster to float on but we took our own snorkels...

September 8- Today we crossed the NT border about twenty minutes west of Camooweal. We drove about 400 km on a straight road but we stopped at Barkly homestead for morning tea. The landscape was flat and dry, we saw lots of termite mounds, dead cows and lots of road kill. Then we stopped at the Three Ways which is an intersection where you can go south, east or north we went north towards Darwin. When we were driving I spoke to a truckie on the radio. He drove ...
