There's a few of these in Beijing, the most famous being in the Yiheyuan 颐和园 (Summer Palace). I was going to write more by way of explanation here but it was rapidly becoming a paragraph, so I'll save it for a post. Suffice it to say that marble boats appear to have quite quite trendy in late Qing China.
