This was a pretty typical experience for us on this trip. Since flying was cheaper than trains, we spent a fair bit of time at airports. The French and Spanish airports are actually interesting: they don't make all those annoying announcements that you constantly hear at other airports. This is good and bad: it's nice and quiet while you're waiting but we almost missed one of our flights because they changed our gate and didn't let anyone know.
