Had an adventurous journey to LaPaz. Our driver couldnt find the road so decided to freestyle it across the desert. Within half an hour we were completely bogged and all had to get off the truck to help push it to solid ground. We eventually found the road and set off again. LaPaz was an amazing sight. The city is the highest capital city in the world and is built in a steep canyon in the mountains. The rich people live at the bottom and the poor at the top. LaPaz is the most vibrant, chaotic city yet. The streets and pavement are just bursting with every kind of market under the sun. There is hustle and bustle everywhere and the constant beeping of car horns as the public are forced to mingle with the traffic, due to the markets on every walkway.
We spent most of our time here exploring the markets and seeing the beautiful local handicrafts. We visited moon valley, which is an area of bazaarly weathered landscape at the very bottom of the canyon, which looks like the surface of the moon. It was really wierd.
