OK, so I technically haven`t left yet, but since I left Tassie over a week ago and will head off in about 4 hours I think its time for an update. Spent Easter weekend in Daylesford for orienteering. Nothing special, I won a day, that`s about as exciting as it gets. Turns out Daylesford is the gay and lesbian capital of Victoria, which is funny cause we never noticed anything unusual the first time we went down the main road, but after we were told of the towns reputation, you`d be questioning every same sex couple you`d see! Spent the rest of the week staying at Karla and Duncan`s (the couple I used to live with in Tassie for about 2 years) place in Caulfied not doing much but buying last minute things and eating a lot of food. Fully packed and ready to go now, theres a few nerves there, but I reckon once I get into Hanoi and find my first hotel (thank you Wotif). Thanks to those who have left anonymous messages on the message board I thank you - even if it wasn`t hard to work out who was who. I remember what happened to the last anonymous message board - looking forward to the first limerick involving kangaroo jumpers and emus. (I`ll try to keep inside jokes to a minimum after this)
