We have landed safely in Lan Tau and have baked nicely today. Air Con is worthy of the Nobel Prize. Simon and Sue met us at the airport (in true Simonesque style) and we supped bubbly watching over the lush greenery of the island. Bliss. Not quite switched off yet - well it is only a day into the trek so time will no doubt help us adjust. Flight was non eventful - apart from swollen feet - but we are looking forward to Quantas next time. Off to Bangkok on Monday but have a lot to pack in before then - like more bubbly!!! Went to all you can eat and drink buffet in the Inter Continental hotel. All you can drink unfortunately meant drinking Moet by the bucket - no word of a lie. Three hour extravaganza. SO SO SO impressed with food, service and HK skyline as we supped away. Heading to Hong Kong tomorrow after more visits to the China Bear tonight - Simon and Sue's local! 11th Aug - back in HK after Bangkok. Relaxed and took a tram to the peak - great views of HK and Kowloon. Visited a covered aviary which was quite something. Typhoon remnants hit on Saturday night which was something to witness. Sitting in safety of China Bear watching the forked lightening over the HK skyline. Incredible. Off to Perth Sunday night.
