Although we are in Emeishan (famous for trekking up the mountain with monkies and monasteries) I have no intention of voluntarily climbing giant mountains with a baby! Instead we've been hanging around 'Hostel C' just like in the old days when we first met except this hostel is pretty empty! Did meet some lovely travellers from Dongbei who understood my Chinese and said Isaac looks like the offspring of two celebrity super stars. I liked them a lot!!W...

Today we visited the most beautiful place. I'd read that chengdu had a few blossom and peony festivals at this time of year but I was failing in getting my husband to take us as all the Chinese were saying all the flowers are already dead (they were wrong!) Luckily Bill's cousin offered us a lift to emeishan and to drop us off at the flower festival in Xinjin on route. This seemed the best available option! Isaac is very contented with the constant entertainment and attention. He loves the noise and the crowds! He finds the constant cooing and cuddling very pleasing which is a good job considering he's now been passed around to about 30 people!
