Today we went to my all-time favorite place: Huntington Beach. We enjoyed a day of bodyboarding in the giant waves of the Pacific. We played beach volleyball and soccer, went shopping for board shorts and had a delicious Mexican style dinner. Now the kids and my wife are all in bed and sleeping soundly. What a perfect day.

We just arrived in Southern California. Weather is overcast so it's warm but not too hot. The flight was quite excellent: Spacious seats, great entertainment program - Iberia is a great airline. We picked up our car at Alamo. To our big surprise it was a great family van with lots of space for everybody – and even for all luggage – surfboards and all. The Airbnb place is also fantastic.
