Morning everyone. just a very quick update for you all.
We´ve finally escaped Rockin´Rio and to be totally honest, we really needed too - after a fantastic last night of Carnaval which was spent in Impenena (via wild street party and even wilder beach party) Jon and I packed our bags said bye bye to our wonderful house in Copacabana and jumped on a plane to Curitiba where after one night in a 5* hotel and an arabian dinner (??) in this lovely little old street plaza, we jumped on a bus for a wonderful 12 hours of gazing out of a window and arrived here in Foz last night.
We´re here obviously to see the Iguacu Falls and we´re actually heading to the park very soon (i.e. once our laundry is done). We´re viewing from the Brazilian side today but tomorrow we cross the boarder into Argentina where we plan to do some viewing from that side too (we´ve heard the Argie side is better).
So, this is the last time I´ll speak to you from Brazil - and it´s goodbye to Caipirinhas and HELLO Vino Tinto - and I´m not at all sad and actually I´m very very excited about getting to Argentina. Brazil has been ok but as Jon and I stuck to the southern regions it´s been all about Haveanas, beaches, bronzed bodies (we still look like Brits btw - no sun tan even attempted as yet) and Pharmacies - yep that´s right there´s an epidemic of them here every other shop is a bloody pharmacy so we reckon the Brazilians are either very clean and concerned about health or these shops are fronts for drugs other than Asprin.
Well as you can tell I clearly have nothing really to tell you so rather than keep waffling on, I´ll bid you all farewell.
Love & Stuff
Viv
