Day 9 Banff to Lake Louise. Around an hour's drive up to Lake Louise. It is a very small township based solely on tourism both the summer hikers and the winter skiers. Day 8 We started the day by purchasing the gondola tickets before the queues became too long. Next we drove around to the Cave and Basin (hot springs) carpark and went off on a walk to Sundance Canyon. It was a very pretty walk. Day 7 We thought we had slept in until 7.00am but discovered that Banff (Alberta) is an hour ahead of Vancouver (British Columbia) so in reality we were up at 6.00am. Day 6 Kelowna to Banff. A really late start to the day as we left at 9.00am this morning. It was a long drive to Banff, arriving at 4.30pm in the afternoon.
