Picutred here are the 2 places where most of the action takes place in the Fanny/Marius films: the bar owned by Cesar, Marius' father, & M. Panisse's sail shop. Fanny sells fish, falls in love with Marius, & Marius runs off to sea, leaving her pregnant. She then marries Panisse, a kind old man, who raises the baby with her. It's a terrific look at Marseille in the early 1900s.
