We went to the art museum in Lodeve, called "Maison Fleury" for an exhibition on Bissiere, a painter who painted with the cubists, & then went his own way. He started out a little like Botero, then like Picasso, but eventually painted grid-like works in the late 1950s. This lovely museum is just about to undergo a major renovation, just like my museum, The Gibbes, in Charleston. They will be adding an elevator (for handicap access), & AC. Not easy to do in a medieval building!
