Hello all - feeling lazy and can't be bothered to do a proper postcard! Have got a horrid cold and have just been out scouring the island for Benylin and Lemsip - no such luck! Ended up with some weird Chinese cough mixture which cost about 20p - kill or cure, eh!??!

Had a great night last night - went to Haad Rin for a "quiet dinner", which actually ended up as being a really mad night, paddling at 3am, doing the Can Can in the sea (yes Ellie - I was thinking of you - and you know why!!), and fearing for my life more than once in the back of a pick up truck! Blame it on the bucket, as they say in these parts! So much for a quiet night!

Annette - the pick up truck incident was scarily similar to the moped incident we embarked upon a few years ago - ARGH! Why do we never learn from these things?!?!?! Any news on India?? xx

Hi bic ,hope you are ok and recovered from the new year celebrations.We are still feeling grotty and i have no voice today lucky old nick.The furthest i have been is to the papershop and that was a bit of a marathon.We are back to work tomorrow,i cant wait .I was surposed to go to Wisley this morning with Sue but couldnt muster the engergy.Jen has got Grandma some shopping and i gave her your off exploring address to Suzie.The weather here today is bright and sunny but not so hot as Thialand?Hope you are taking Helens advice and eating lots of chocolate and icecream and forget about the points.well must go now as its nearly time for lunch.look after yourself lota of love mumxxxxxx

Vicky - great to hear that you've got there safely and are having high jinks already. My book says best source of calcium other than dairy (although both chocolate and ice cream have loads so I doubt you've really got a problem) are: seaweed (yes really), fish (especially whitebait and sardines), tofu, almonds, soya, figs, spinach, brazil nuts and prawns. So get eating!! I don't think you're going to come back with rickets....

Hi bic bic Happy new to you .ihad a small sherry at 5 your time to wish a good one.Thanks for your new message,it sounds as if you had great time.Be careful when you go in the sea dont open your mouth.I hope you have recovered from your buckets of booze.Nick took me to Maureens,we had a quiet eveing with lovely food,lasagne veg and lemon and blueberry sponge, and chocolate fondue yumme.Nick went to the horse and groom and then to the Harvester,but he didnt drink because he still fells rough.I have now got the cough and fell like poo.he is not going to the Harvester.We watched the tv at midnight and they had a minutes silentcs before the fireworks were let off.Nick picked me up at 1.30.The weather here today is rotten wet and windy,not paddilng weather at all.I think you will have to drink milk or yogurt because i dont know what else calsuim comes in.see if you can find cheese,but it wont be with cranberries.Grandma sends her love and Nick.loads of love from mexxxxxxxThis note took me 15 minutes to write.not quite up to your speed yet,but im getting there,

Hello SP I am very glad to here that you have arrived safely and are fitting in to your Thai lifestyle. It all sounds great especially the part about the dwarf masseuse with sponges,hmm. After the journey you had I am sure that must have been bliss.
