Dear All Am now back in Thailand after a little random trip to the Myanmar border! Am safe and sound in Bangkok - which, although the tremors were felt here, has escaped yesterday's earthquake. We had a weird night and it was all a bit scary for a time but thank goodness we are all ok and Thailand has now lifted its tsunami warning. We're staying right on the Khao San Road (for those of you who have seen "The Beach", that's where Leonardo DiCaprio drinks the snake blood!) - it's right in the middle of everything and very cool! Been to the Grand Palace today and nearly boiled to death! It was beautiful though and had a great time. Felt like I was in the "The King and I" - nearly broke into a polka and danced round singing "Shall we dance, tra la la"! Lots of gorgeous temples! Have taken soooo many pictures - will try and put some more on before I leave here - cos don't know when I'll get the chance again once we leave Bangkok. Off to bed now - it's really early but we're going to Ayutthaya tomorrow - which used to be the capital of Thailand before it got changed to Bangkok. Hope all's well - mail soon if you can everyone! Don't forget it's my birthday on 13 April and all messages would be gratefully received!
