Vanya Around The World
G'day mate.
Well i've been in Sydney for just over a week now, i really like it too. After all the winter weather i've been experiencing in other countries it's nice to get some warm sunshine (although friends here that have just come from asia are complaining of the cold). The city is smaller than what i thought, you can easily walk around to all the major spots.
I'm staying in a hostel on the outskirts of Kings Cross (prostitute central-never have i seen so many). I don't feel unsafe at all though, its always busy as there are lots of bars and resturants and i'm always with people so its ok. I was staying in a room with a really nice group of people, we were going to get a flat together but unfortunately plans have fallen through. Various reasons really and i guess thats what happens when you travel, plans tend to change very quickly and easily. It's quite sad though (a slight repeat feeling from the south america trip). You meet people, you get close quickly and then you part ways. It dosnt happen everywhere so we were very lucky to have all been put in the same room and all be on the same wavelength.
Ive had a taster as to what i think a proper student life would have been (winch girls-you know what i mean). This week has been full of partying till 6am, sleeping in lots, only getting up when its food time (do i sound like a boy) and feeling guilty for not job hunting properly. Oh well!!
I have handed over a few CVs etc so hopefully i'll hear something soon. Maybe i might just move on to another place and find work.
Anyway, thats all for now. Sorry i havn't actually mentioned anything about sights n stuff. Saw the Opera House, Bridge and went to Bondi-all good!!!!!!
Missing you all, love you lots. Vanya XXXXXXXXXXXX
PS YOU HAVE ALL SLOWED DOWN ON THE MESSAGES. HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ME ALREADY. XXXXXXXXXXX
