Two Girls... One World
Hello again time for the next chapter in our journal,
We spent the morning lounging around on the beach doing nothing which was great after being on the move and constantly busy and then in the afternoon we hired out a kayak for 1hr we wanted to go out a little island we could see from the beach but didn't get that far because it was hard work in the heat and the island was suddenly allot further than we thought.
In the evening we went and had a BBQ on the beach which was nice and then went onto a bar call FlipFlop and tasted some cocktails, after a few we moved onto another bar further down the beach called the Jungle Bar, it was a shack with a straw roof and no windows and we just lounger around on cushions on the floor getting more drunk and stumbled home about 1am.
The next morning we went on our elephant treck which was great fun a bit wobbly and scary but the view was fantastic when we got the top of the mountain. They had a baby elephant that was chained up and rocking which was really sad and a monkey chained up too which was really cute and he seamed to like eating mints! It took us 1 scary hr to get there in the back of a pick up with no sides to hold onto and a driver who could only just see over the stearing wheel to see the huge pot holes and sometimes where the road just disapears very scary but an interesting experience and we nearly lost people out the back several times! As long as you can reach the pedals here and just about see where you're going you can drive!!
After this we went fishing to catch something to eat for our tea, i cought my fish first but as soon as i saw it i panicked and passed it to Karen to deal with which she did very well. Karen cought a fish too which was a good size, when we got back we had what we thought was a great idea and put them all on the sand to take a photo Karen felt sorry for her fish dying covered in sand so decided to rinse it in the sea only for it to come back to life and swim away it was the funniest thing to see Karen running up and down the beach after this fish!! Kind of a had to be there moment i guess. We never did eat our fish we wanted something different but we had great time catching them.
The next day we had an early start as we set off on another long journey to Satun where we had a stop over for the night before carrying on to Malasia.
I think we're the worst travellers ever because we hate the travelling!!
