We spent the afternoon preparing a mammoth Shepherd's Pie for tonight's visitors. We later added creamed mashed potato (including 4 types of cheese). It may look a bit basic, even slightly industrial, but let me tell you, later that night, it was consumed by all with gusto. Incidentally, I always serve Shepherd's Pie with baked beans and a Burgundy - together, they are beautiful.
