Despite the repeated pictures of food, this trip was not intended to be a "voyage gastronomique", although meal times, it has to be said, do tend to be chronological pivot points. The Hamburg stop-over however did deliver the breakfast of all breakfasts. In fact, I can only say that based on my recent limited experience, the German breakfasts do tend to be an event.
