In These Stones, Horizons Sing is a work for chorus and orchestra composed by Karl Jenkins. It was commissioned for the opening of Wales Millennium Centre and first performed at its opening on 29 November 2004. The Welsh language has many fine words and I wish that more Welsh words would find their way into everyday English. For example, the Welsh for "Superstore" or "Supermarket" is "Archfarchnad". When I saw this word on a sign today, I resolved to use it myself, as in "I'm just nipping down the old Archfarchnad for another bottle of skimmed milk, darling". And if the "Archfarchnad" is closed, you can probably find your milk at the "Gwasanaethau" which is the motorway services (although this word is ni on impossible for a native English speaker to pronounce).
