Tarifa is in Andalucia, which is also the home province of Jerez, the place of origin of Sherry (the name sherry is indeed a corruption of Jerez). There are multiple versions of the drink; dry, sweet, serve cold, serve at room temp etc, but, actually, I think if you happen on the right sherry under the right conditions, you might be quite impressed (as I was the other night when I tried a couple). An Andalucian dish of chicken in sherry is also very good (use sweet sherry).
