This photo is a homage (pronounced 'ommarge) to Edward Hopper and his obsession with light and shade and colour and, quite separately, to the engineers who first conceived the container, then the container ship, and finally, to those quiet aesthetes who determined that containers should be of many different colours, thus providing observers with an ever changing patchwork quilt of visual stimulation (which coincidentally chimes perfectly with Edward Hopper's original ethos).
