The youth of today get around, far wider than we seemed to. However, since the world is metaphorically so much smaller, I'm not sure that today's young traveller can quite lay claim to the true spirit of adventure which my generation might lay claim to (although, admittedly, the likes of Columbus, Magellan or Franklin may have made a similar point - its all relative, as the man once said).
