The two girls behind worked in a kind of a beauty parlour. Female passers-by were all being offered special deals on skin or hair care products. They had no takers whilst we sat and had our lunch, despite almost physically corralling prospective purchasers into the store. Mind you, despite their slightly pushy tactics, I still felt a distinct admiration for their perseverance and general cheeriness.
