I can order beers in two, possibly three languages, but my skills don't extend to further discourse. Conversely, Chris (pictured) could effortlessly translate Shakespeare into half a dozen foreign tongues (including in both European and Orientally based languages ). In fact, when last in Spain, I attempted to order a single beer from the bar only for the waiter to explain, with some amusement, that they had not actually got any hats (which is apparently what I'd unintentionally asked for).
