Once we'd got through, there was a pause and it was a great opportunity to turn to those who hadn't made it and observe them. We resisted the temptation to gloat, but somehow, the action of photographing them conveyed that very sentiment. I think their disappointment is clearly evident in their non-plussed expressions.
