All over Galicia, the older buildings have these sort of protruding, mini balconied windows. Its a bit like those grain stores, you wonder how things evolve in a way not commonly seen elsewhere. I guess slightly different conditions or circumstances allow for developments to follow evolutionary arms which lead things all over the place, a bit like the evolutionary "spurs" of the natural world which can be seen in the Galapagos, the Antipodes or Madagascar. Fascinating.
