19 June 2012 - Sea Stacks
Being the Jurassic coast, its worth pointing out that these sea stacks result from millions of years of limestone deposits, being the skeletal remains of billions of sea creatures, which are then weathered and eroded over many more millions of years. The erosion expands on natural fissures within the stone leaving spectacular stacks like these (which will eventually themselves fall into the sea).
