I'm not a particular cycling fan, but there's something immensely admirable about Bradley Wiggins. I tuned in for the final section of the race, which came to a crescendo in Paris today. It was tremendously exciting. First, a small break away group, excluding Wiggins and his team forged ahead. At one point, with only a lap and a bit to go they were 30 seconds ahead. Incredibly, as they approached the last lap, Wiggins and team Sky, made up the distance between the leading group and the Sky Team. Then, with not long to go, Wiggins himself took the lead (in the yellow jersey); his intention to pace the way for his sprint specialist colleague, Mark Cavendish, to take up the lead for the last mile or so. In this pic, Higgins leads both the leg and the tour.
