Its been a hell of a build up. Last year, I confidently predicted the standard semi final exit for Britain's great hope Andy Murray, but this year, things felt slightly different. We went to some friends for the big event, and started off at the local pub, with wine and a roast dinner. When Murray took the opening game by breaking Federer's service, we dared hope for the thing which we'd been waiting for for 76 years. In all honesty, I had not been waiting for it and still don't really care that much. I notice that Alex Salmond said he'd been waiting 106 years (since its been that long since a Scot had won it). That bloke's nationalistic obsessions really do take the biscuit...
