Jeff is a fellow student of aesthetics and the philosophy of art. On the face of it, he's a slight contradiction. He's a sometime builder's labourer, who none the less has had a life long interest in philosophy. He possesses an extensive vocabulary and he is so erudite that he occasionally constructs long sentences and asks complex questions which I suspect few, if any, of us, understand.
