My tribute to the great Gene Vincent. The son of my Dad's old boss, whose name, I think, was Jeremy Field, was a saxophone player who once did a UK tour with Gene Vincent. Gene was pretty volatile and one one occasion he had a back stage row with Jeremy over some idiotic subject like what key a song was in. Vincent said he'd had enough and pulled out a loaded revolver which he stuck under Jeremy's chin. Luckily, he was persuaded that killing Jeremy would give him the problem of sourcing a new sax player at short notice and he backed off.
