Nature is astonishing in that these creatures seemed entirely at home in the conditions. These were at the local Sami museum, the Sami being the native Lapp people who spend their days herding the reindeer. I did wonder what on earth the Sami people's ancestors were thinking as they progressively headed further north (which they must have done, as all people, as I understand it, originated in Africa). You can imagine some absurd primeval conversation as those ancient tribes people made their was past the place where, say, modern day Stockholm is situated "Hey, lets go much further north, it might be even better there...." er...?
