Regardless of hype, presentation, image, whatever, there remains, in my opinion, a real and absolute standard of human existence which simply relates to food, and specifically the food we like, come what may. Ultimately, whatever existentialist crisis humanity may face, there’s no escaping those things which we love for their own sake and for me, one of those is a warm tart (in this case, pecan) served with ice cream. The combination of hot and cold, the textures, even the slightly cloying syrupy thing, it’s what I want and frankly what sometimes I absolutely need, and ultimately, it requires no marketing whatsoever, even by Bill’s.
